First of all I just want to say thank you to those of you who have served and are serving to defend our country. I also would like to thank the families of all of these special people as I know the sacrifice you make as well for your loved one to serve. I especially want to thank my brother, Captain Richard Scott Morrow who served in the Army and is praise the Lord, home safely from Iraq.
I never really appreciated work holidays until now, considering that Luke and I both have jobs in which we work regardless of the holiday. It just so happened that this fine Memorial Day, we were both off! My parents decided to come into town so it was a busy weekend filled with fun family time! We grilled out Sunday night and had the whole family over, including my brother and his daughter, Kinley who we rarely see anymore. My sister Staci, her husband, Justin and two children Hudson and Addie also joined us. The kids are 2 and 3 so it's such a delight to watch them play because they have so much fun together. Monday we all went downtown to the River where the new Peabody park is to let the kids play in the water fountains-that was so much fun! They all loved it, except Kinley-she was a bit apprehensive, and it was difficult to determine if Truett was having a good time but he wasn't crying so my dad kept taking him in the water!:) Later we had pizza and homemade snickers ice cream at Staci's house. It was great quality time for the Morrow gang! It's always nice to have family around but equally as nice to have just Luke, Steph and Truett time and we enjoyed that tonight.
Truett is at such a fun age right now. He is starting to wave and sometimes say "bye bye," he laughs all the time and is constantly into everything. He truly is such a joy to be around. There is nothing better than his sweet hugs. Luke and I were both able to give him his bath tonight (doesn't happen very often), and when we were saying our bedtime prayers, Truett reached up for his daddy-it was so sweet. I love having a husband/ baby daddy who loves the Lord and seeks to exemplify that love to our son. It's also so exciting to witness the love Luke has for Truett-he has always loved children and when we had our nephew and nieces, that love grew a little stronger. But when Truett was born, it surpassed all and I am so excited to see the bond between the two of them grow as Truett grows.
Well, my computer battery is dying and I don't know where the cord is to plug it in off the top of my head so I will go ahead and end this post and try to pick up tomorrow!:) I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday weekend. Thank you again to all our military and family! May God bless each and everyone of you.
Steph:)
